This policy explains what cookies and local storage Iqrayah uses, why, and how you can manage your preferences.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Local storage is a similar browser mechanism that persists data without expiry. We use both.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These are required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled. They do not track you across sites.

Analytics data is anonymised and aggregated. It does not identify you personally. PostHog is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Marketing (not used)
We do not currently run advertising or retargeting campaigns. No marketing cookies are set.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not embed third-party widgets, social media share buttons, or advertising scripts that would place third-party cookies on your device.
4. Google Consent Mode v2
Iqrayah implements Google Consent Mode v2. This communicates your consent choice to any future Google services we add (such as Google Analytics or Google Ads). Until you accept analytics cookies, all Google signals default to “denied”.
5. Managing your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the controls below, or by clearing your browser’s local storage.

You can also clear cookies and local storage manually via your browser settings. Note that clearing all local storage will also reset your font, translation, and theme preferences.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology or law. The effective date above will change when we do.
