Surah Al-Baqarah · Ayah 79

“Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, "This is from Allah," that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby.”

“Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby.”

“So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn.”

“অতএব তাদের জন্যে আফসোস! যারা নিজ হাতে গ্রন্থ লেখে এবং বলে, এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে অবতীর্ণ-যাতে এর বিনিময়ে সামান্য অর্থ গ্রহণ করতে পারে। অতএব তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের হাতের লেখার জন্য এবং তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের উপার্জনের জন্যে।”

“تو ان لوگوں پر افسوس ہے جو اپنے ہاتھ سے تو کتاب لکھتے ہیں اور کہتے یہ ہیں کہ یہ خدا کے پاس سے (آئی) ہے، تاکہ اس کے عوض تھوڑی سے قیمت (یعنی دنیوی منفعت) حاصل کریں۔ ان پر افسوس ہے، اس لیے کہ (بےاصل باتیں) اپنے ہاتھ سے لکھتے ہیں اور (پھر) ان پر افسوس ہے، اس لیے کہ ایسے کام کرتے ہیں”
