Surah Aal ʿImran · Ayah 120

“If a lucky chance befall you, it is evil unto them, and if disaster strike you they rejoice thereat. But if ye persevere and keep from evil their guile will never harm you. Lo! Allah is Surrounding what they do.”

“If aught that is good befalls you, it grieves them; but if some misfortune overtakes you, they rejoice at it. But if ye are constant and do right, not the least harm will their cunning do to you; for Allah Compasseth round about all that they do.”

“If good touches you, it distresses them; but if harm strikes you, they rejoice at it. And if you are patient and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all. Indeed, Allah is encompassing of what they do.”

“তোমাদের যদি কোন মঙ্গল হয়; তাহলে তাদের খারাপ লাগে। আর তোমাদের যদি অমঙ্গল হয় তাহলে আনন্দিত হয় আর তাতে যদি তোমরা ধৈর্য্যধারণ কর এবং তাকওয়া অবলম্বন কর, তবে তাদের প্রতারণায় তোমাদের কোনই ক্ষতি হবে না। নিশ্চয়ই তারা যা কিছু করে সে সমস্তই আল্লাহর আয়ত্তে রয়েছে।”

“اگر تمہیں آسودگی حاصل ہو تو ان کو بری لگتی ہے اور اگر رنج پہنچے تو خوش ہوتے ہیں اور اگر تم تکلیفوں کی برداشت اور (ان سے) کنارہ کشی کرتے رہو گے تو ان کا فریب تمھیں کچھ بھی نقصان نہ پہنچا سکے گا یہ جو کچھ کرتے ہیں خدا اس پر احاطہ کیے ہوئے ہے”
