Surah An-Nisa · Ayah 4

Wa aatun nisaaa'a sadu qaatihinna nihlah; fa in tibna lakum 'an shai'im minhu nafsan fakuloohu hanee'am mareee'aa

“And give unto the women (whom ye marry) free gift of their marriage portions; but if they of their own accord remit unto you a part thereof, then ye are welcome to absorb it (in your wealth).”

“And give the women (on marriage) their dower as a free gift; but if they, of their own good pleasure, remit any part of it to you, Take it and enjoy it with right good cheer.”

“And give the women [upon marriage] their [bridal] gifts graciously. But if they give up willingly to you anything of it, then take it in satisfaction and ease.”

“আর তোমরা স্ত্রীদেরকে তাদের মোহর দিয়ে দাও খুশীমনে। তারা যদি খুশী হয়ে তা থেকে অংশ ছেড়ে দেয়, তবে তা তোমরা স্বাচ্ছন্দ্যে ভোগ কর।”

“اور عورتوں کو ان کے مہر خوشی سے دے دیا کرو۔ ہاں اگر وہ اپنی خوشی سے اس میں سے کچھ تم کو چھوڑ دیں تو اسے ذوق شوق سے کھالو”
