  1. Surah Aal ʿImran · 2Allah! There is no god save Him, the Alive, the Eternal.
  2. Surah Aal ʿImran · 13There was a token for you in two hosts which met: one army fighting in the way of Allah, and another disbelieving, whom they saw as twice their number, clearly, with their very eyes. Thus Allah strengtheneth with His succour whom He will. Lo! herein verily is a lesson for those who have eyes.
  3. Surah Aal ʿImran · 185Every soul will taste of death.
  4. Surah Al-Maidah · 13And because of their breaking their covenant, We have cursed them and made hard their hearts. They change words from their context and forget a part of that whereof they were admonished. Thou wilt not cease to discover treachery from all save a few of them. But bear with them and pardon them. Lo! Allah loveth the kindly.
  5. Surah Al-Araf · 5No plea had they, when Our terror came unto them, save that they said: Lo! We were wrong-doers.
  6. Surah Al-Araf · 6Then verily We shall question those unto whom (Our message) hath been sent, and verily We shall question the messengers.
  7. Surah Al-Araf · 10And We have given you (mankind) power in the earth, and appointed for you therein livelihoods. Little give ye thanks!
  8. Surah At-Tawbah · 1Freedom from obligation (is proclaimed) from Allah and His messenger toward those of the idolaters with whom ye made a treaty.
  9. Surah At-Tawbah · 3And a proclamation from Allah and His messenger to all men on the day of the Greater Pilgrimage that Allah is free from obligation to the idolaters, and (so is) His messenger. So, if ye repent, it will be better for you; but if ye are averse, then know that ye cannot escape Allah. Give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom to those who disbelieve,
  10. Surah At-Tawbah · 4Excepting those of the idolaters with whom ye (Muslims) have a treaty, and who have since abated nothing of your right nor have supported anyone against you. (As for these), fulfil their treaty to them till their term. Lo! Allah loveth those who keep their duty (unto Him).
  11. Surah At-Tawbah · 8How (can there be any treaty for the others) when, if they have the upper hand of you, they regard not pact nor honour in respect of you? They satisfy you with their mouths the while their hearts refuse. And most of them are wrongdoers.
  12. Surah Yunus · 13We destroyed the generations before you when they did wrong; and their messengers (from Allah) came unto them with clear proofs (of His Sovereignty) but they would not believe. Thus do We reward the guilty folk.
  13. Surah Hud · 7And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was upon the water - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. Yet if thou (O Muhammad) sayest: Lo! ye will be raised again after death! those who disbelieve will surely say: This is naught but mere magic.
  14. Surah Yusuf · 11They said: O our father! Why wilt thou not trust us with Joseph, when lo! we are good friends to him?
  15. Surah Ibrahim · 10Their messengers said: Can there be doubt concerning Allah, the Creator of the heavens and the earth? He calleth you that He may forgive you your sins and reprieve you unto an appointed term. They said: Ye are but mortals like us, who would fain turn us away from what our fathers used to worship. Then bring some clear warrant.
  16. Surah Al-Hijr · 2It may be that those who disbelieve wish ardently that they were Muslims.
  17. Surah Al-Hijr · 15They would say: Our sight is wrong - nay, but we are folk bewitched.
  18. Surah Al-Isra · 10And that those who believe not in the Hereafter, for them We have prepared a painful doom.
  19. Surah Al-Kahf · 15These, our people, have chosen (other) gods beside Him though they bring no clear warrant (vouchsafed) to them. And who doth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah?
  20. Surah Maryam · 4Saying: My Lord! Lo! the bones of me wax feeble and my head is shining with grey hair, and I have never been unblest in prayer to Thee, my Lord.
  21. Surah Maryam · 5Lo! I fear my kinsfolk after me, since my wife is barren. Oh, give me from Thy presence a successor
  22. Surah Ta Ha · 10When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire.
  23. Surah Al-Anbiya · 1Their reckoning draweth nigh for mankind, while they turn away in heedlessness.
  24. Surah Al-Anbiya · 3With hearts preoccupied. And they confer in secret. The wrong-doers say: Is this other than a mortal like you? Will ye then succumb to magic when ye see (it)?
  25. Surah Al-Anbiya · 14They cried: Alas for us! we were wrong-doers.
  26. Surah Al-Muminun · 7But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors -
  27. Surah Al-Muminun · 11Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide.
  28. Surah An-Nur · 14Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you in the world and the Hereafter an awful doom had overtaken you for that whereof ye murmured.
  29. Surah An-Nur · 35Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon light. Allah guideth unto His light whom He will. And Allah speaketh to mankind in allegories, for Allah is Knower of all things.

  31. Surah An-Naml · 2A guidance and good tidings for believers
  32. Surah An-Naml · 14And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance. Then see the nature of the consequence for the wrong-doers!
  33. Surah Al-Ankabut · 10Of mankind is he who saith: We believe in Allah, but, if he be made to suffer for the sake of Allah, he mistaketh the persecution of mankind for Allah's punishment; and then, if victory cometh from thy Lord, will say: Lo! we were with you (all the while). Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the bosoms of (His) creatures?
  34. Surah Ar-Rum · 14In the day when the Hour cometh, in that day they will be sundered.
  35. Surah Luqman · 4Those who establish worship and pay the poor-due and have sure faith in the Hereafter.
  36. Surah Luqman · 5Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful.
  37. Surah As-Sajdah · 10And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord.
  38. Surah Al-Ahzab · 1O Prophet! Keep thy duty to Allah and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise.
  39. Surah Al-Ahzab · 3And put thy trust in Allah, for Allah is sufficient as Trustee.
  40. Surah Al-Ahzab · 14If the enemy had entered from all sides and they had been exhorted to treachery, they would have committed it, and would have hesitated thereupon but little.
  41. Surah Fatir · 6Lo! the devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming Fire.
  42. Surah Fatir · 10Whoso desireth power (should know that) all power belongeth to Allah. Unto Him good words ascend, and the pious deed doth He exalt; but those who plot iniquities, theirs will be an awful doom; and the plotting of such (folk) will come to naught.
  43. Surah Ya Sin · 14When We sent unto them twain, and they denied them both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: Lo! we have been sent unto you.
  44. Surah Ya Sin · 36Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not!
  45. Surah Sad · 10Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them theirs? Then let them ascend by ropes!
  46. Surah Sad · 29(This is) a Scripture that We have revealed unto thee, full of blessing, that they may ponder its revelations, and that men of understanding may reflect.
  47. Surah Az-Zumar · 2Lo! We have revealed the Scripture unto thee (Muhammad) with truth; so worship Allah, making religion pure for Him (only).
  48. Surah Az-Zumar · 14Say: Allah I worship, making my religion pure for Him (only).
  49. Surah Fussilat · 10He placed therein firm hills rising above it, and blessed it and measured therein its sustenance in four Days, alike for (all) who ask;
  50. Surah Fussilat · 53We shall show them Our portents on the horizons and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the Truth. Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things?
  51. Surah Ash-Shura · 15Unto this, then, summon (O Muhammad). And be thou upright as thou art commanded, and follow not their lusts, but say: I believe in whatever scripture Allah hath sent down, and I am commanded to be just among you. Allah is our Lord and your Lord. Unto us our works and unto you your works; no argument between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and unto Him is the journeying.
  52. Surah Az-Zukhruf · 4And Lo! in the Source of Decrees, which We possess, it is indeed sublime, decisive.
  53. Surah Az-Zukhruf · 5Shall We utterly ignore you because ye are a wanton folk?

  59. Surah Al-Fath · 10Lo! those who swear allegiance unto thee (Muhammad), swear allegiance only unto Allah. The Hand of Allah is above their hands. So whosoever breaketh his oath, breaketh it only to his soul's hurt; while whosoever keepeth his covenant with Allah, on him will He bestow immense reward.
  60. Surah Al-Hujurat · 12O ye who believe! Shun much suspicion; for lo! some suspicion is a crime. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Ye abhor that (so abhor the other)! And keep your duty (to Allah). Lo! Allah is Relenting, Merciful.

Surah Al-Hadid · 12On the day when thou (Muhammad) wilt see the believers, men and women, their light shining forth before them and on their right hands, (and wilt hear it said unto them): Glad news for you this day: Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein ye are immortal. That is the supreme triumph.
  73. Surah Al-Hadid · 20Know that the life of the world is only play, and idle talk, and pageantry.
  74. Surah Al-Hashr · 6And that which Allah gave as spoil unto His messenger from them, ye urged not any horse or riding-camel for the sake thereof, but Allah giveth His messenger lordship over whom He will. Allah is Able to do all things.
  75. Surah Al-Hashr · 18O ye who believe! Observe your duty to Allah. And let every soul look to that which it sendeth on before for the morrow. And observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do.
  76. Surah Al-Mumtahanah · 10O ye who believe! When believing women come unto you as fugitives, examine them. Allah is Best Aware of their faith. Then, if ye know them for true believers, send them not back unto the disbelievers. They are not lawful for them (the disbelievers), nor are they (the disbelievers) lawful for them. And give them (the disbelievers) that which they have spent (upon them). And it is no sin for you to marry such women when ye have given them their dues. And hold not to the ties of disbelieving women; and ask for (the return of) that which ye have spent; and let them (the disbelievers) ask for that which they have spent. That is the judgment of Allah. He judgeth between you. Allah is Knower, Wise.
  77. Surah Al-Jumuah · 6Say (O Muhammad): O ye who are Jews! If ye claim that ye are favoured of Allah apart from (all) mankind, then long for death if ye are truthful.
  78. Surah Al-Munafiqun · 2They make their faith a pretext so that they may turn (men) from the way of Allah. Verily evil is that which they are wont to do,
  79. Surah At-Taghabun · 8So believe in Allah and His messenger and the light which We have revealed. And Allah is Informed of what ye do.
  80. Surah At-Talaq · 12Allah it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah surroundeth all things in knowledge.
  81. Surah Al-Mulk · 5And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame.
  82. Surah Al-Mulk · 6And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the doom of hell, a hapless journey's end!
  83. Surah Al-Mulk · 12Lo! those who fear their Lord in secret, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward.
  84. Surah Al-Qalam · 15That, when Our revelations are recited unto him, he saith: Mere fables of the men of old.
